Come home to
City Beach living
Ocean Gardens is nestled in City Beach, a vibrant western suburb surrounded by lively locales like Floreat, Wembley, Swanbourne and Cottesloe.
If you’ve lived here, you’ll understand the casual charm and easy-going lifestyle intimately. The familiar streets lined with contemporary modern housing. The pristine sandy beaches alive with surfers, volleyballers, dog walkers and early risers. The sunsets, the blue skies, sand dunes and bush reserves. Every August, tens of thousands of runners charge down Oceanic Drive towards the finish line of the annual City to Surf. Who could forget the 1962 Empire Games, held nearby at Perry Lakes Stadium (now just a memory). Fast-forward to modern times and you wouldn’t recognise the City Beach foreshore, with an $18 million facelift comprising three restaurants, a new surf lifesaving club and amphitheatre.
No wonder then that the lure of City Beach reaches far and wide, with some of our residents moving more than fifty kilometres to be part of our community, from Mandurah to the Wheatbelt, even interstate or overseas. That people are willing to give up the familiarity of home to gain a more independent lifestyle in new surroundings is eye-opening in itself.
Would you like to see Ocean Gardens for yourself?
So, what does City Beach mean to you? Were you born and bred here? Did you go to school in the area, or raise a family here? Maybe this is where you retired to after a long, fulfilling career? Perhaps you’ve always loved the area from afar, or are discovering it for the first time? Whatever your connection, one thing rings true - when the support networks are in place (be that friends, family or community), the transition to life’s next stage is a lot smoother than many had imagined.
When considering making the move to Ocean Gardens, our advice is to savour the journey and be grateful for the experiences City Beach enables you to enjoy. You may be giving up a little ‘traditional’ independence or a home you’re emotionally tied to, but think of all there is to gain. Remember - you’ve raised your kids to be educated, successful and caring. No doubt they’ll want to know you’re happy and well looked after, surrounded by friends and neighbours who actively take an interest in how you’re going.
If there’s one thing you can take away about the possibilities Ocean Gardens can open up, let it be this – many wish they had made the move sooner. This is your chance to do something for you. We look forward to changing your view.
